FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrometallurgy of palladium and can be used in separating palladium from hydrochloric acid solutions of complex composition during processing of copper and nickel containing concentrates, as well as secondary raw materials, in particular, in processing waste automotive industry catalysts containing palladium. Palladium is extracted from hydrochloric acid solutions with disulphide(bis(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)dithiophosphinic acid) with concentration of 0.025–0.1 mol/l in an aromatic solvent in the presence of trioctylammonium chloride with concentration in mixture of 0.0005–0.001 mol/l. Ratio of volumes of organic and aqueous phases is O:W=1:1.
EFFECT: higher degree of extraction of palladium with shorter time of contact between organic and aqueous phases.
