FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of artificial materials, particularly, to production of artificial glassceramic sand. Mixture for producing artificial glassceramic sand consisting of slag and additives according to the invention contains (wt. %): slag 50.92–76.59; quartz sand 33.34–42.76; sodium silicofluoride 3.41–5.24; potash 3.00–6.968; burnt magnesia 0.00–0.945; alumina 0.00–9.77; calcined soda 3.10–4.10; wherein slag contains, wt. %: SiO2 26.43–45.30; Al2O3 6.37–8.60; CaO 30.29–43.9; MgO 4.87–8.3; S2- 0.10–1.20; oxides of: TiO2, FeO, Fe2O3, Na2O, K2O, P2O5, ZnO, PbO, Cr2O3, B2O3, Li2O, MnO, Rb2O, CsO, V2O5, SO3, Ni2O3 up to 19.00. Also, improved operational properties of artificial glassceramic sand is achieved by the fact that in the method of producing artificial glassceramic sand, which includes obtaining a melt from a mixture, obtaining particles by melt spinning, according to the invention, charge for producing artificial glassceramic sand is melted at temperature of 1440–1520 °C, then melt is cooled to plastic state, after obtaining sand particles by molding from melt, their crystallization is carried out at temperature of 600–750 °C with curing for 30–60 minutes and additional sand particles are heated to temperature of 900–1050 °C with curing for 30–60 minutes.

EFFECT: improved operational properties of artificial glassceramic sand due to improvement of its physical and mechanical properties and geometric characteristics.
