SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microbiology and biotechnology and relates to production of recombinant strains of yeast Pichia pastoris capable of producing endo-1,4-β-xylanase. A transformant of yeast Pichia pastoris – a xylanase producer, which contains a gene encoding endo-1,4-β-xylanase from Paenibacillus brasilensis, and additional copies of the NAS1 gene from Pichia pastoris.

EFFECT: invention allows to expand the range of high-efficiency xylanase producers.
