FIELD: oil, gas and coke-chemical industries.
SUBSTANCE: to expand the raw material base and to produce high-strength raw proppant, firing magnesium-silicate raw material obtained from a mixture of natural magnesium silicate raw material dulite 65–70 wt. % with quartz sand 30–35 wt. %, which after firing is milled to obtain a magnesium silicate mixture with grain size of not more than 25 mcm, followed by granulation, drying at temperature 160–260 °C for 1.8–2.2 hours and screening dried granules to obtain a granulate particle size of 1.1–1.2 mm. Granulation of magnesium-silicate raw material obtained from burnt mixture of dunite with quartz sand is carried out in granulator-mixer during 5–6 minutes with addition of binder in amount of 10–20 wt. % of initial raw material. During first 0.8–1 min, the raw material is mixed on water containing an organic binder consisting of 1.0–2.0 wt. % carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and 0.5–1 wt. % three sodium polyphosphate (TPPH), then during 2.0–3.0 minutes binder is uniformly poured through a spraying funnel, and then balls (granules) of raw proppant are rolled for 1–2 minutes.
EFFECT: invention relates to the oil and gas industry, namely to the technology of producing ceramic proppants intended for use as proppants when extracting oil or gas by hydraulic fracturing of the formation.
