FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a self-retaining retention suture, and a method of forming self-retaining suture. Suture includes a retention suture having a first end, a second end and a length between them. Said thread has end element at second end. End element can be obtained by acting on energy section twisted into a spiral of said suture for welding of twisted into a spiral to form a stable anchor for said suture. End element has the main diameter, which is perpendicular to the suture fillet central axis, and the end element has a flat disc-like shape, produced by fusion of twisted into a coil suture. Suture has fixators formed on the surface of the specified suture length. Method comprises a step of providing a suture material length. Suturing thread has a first end, a second end and a length between them, and the suturing thread includes fixators formed on the suture length surface. In the method, a second end is wound around the spool pin so that a spiral is not confused. In the method, the second end is twisted into a spiral and subjected to energy. Energy is sufficient for fusion of second end twisted into spiral and formation of solid single end element with flat disc-like shape, produced by fusion, twisted into a coiled thread, and main diameter, which is perpendicular to the suture fillet suture central axis.
EFFECT: technical result is manufacture of a suture start element, which does not require significant additional processing steps, for example forming a unit or adding auxiliary components, and which provides strong fixation to retain the suture.
