FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to packing of tobacco products. Device for arrangement of rod-like products for supply into pockets on closed conveyor comprises: receiver receiving articles and arranging them for supply into pockets on closed conveyor; main supply device, located vertically above the receiver and configured to feed the first product mass flow down to the receiver; side feed device, located sideways at a distance from the receiver in the transportation direction, wherein the side supply device is connected to the supply tube, terminating in the outlet for supply, wherein the supply tube is configured to supply the second articles to the device through the outlet for supply. Assembly for forming a predetermined arrangement of rod-shaped articles, in particular smoking articles, comprises a device, rod-shaped articles and pockets; pocket holds a predetermined number of articles and they have a predetermined position inside it; receiver comprises multiple receiver compartments, and wherein each receiver compartment from plurality of receiver compartments is associated with at least one predetermined position in the pocket. Main feed device supplies first articles to first subset of receiver compartments; note here that feed tube feeds second articles into second subset of receiver compartments. Device contains an additional supply device, and at that, the additional supply device supplies the third products to the third subset of receiver compartments. Method of arrangement of rod-like articles for supply into pockets on closed conveyor moving in direction of transportation, at that, method includes: feeding, by the primary device, the first article down into the receiver; feeding second articles from second feed device through feed tube and into device through feed outlet port; wherein the receiver receives rod-shaped articles and is disposed to be fed into the pockets on the closed conveyor.
EFFECT: invention enables efficient use of space along the production line path to form a given group of rod-shaped articles.
