SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to medical images processing. Technical result is achieved by the fact that the device comprises an image input unit for obtaining a medical image and corresponding information associated with the image, a converter for converting one or more units of information associated with the image into information on the expected anatomical feature, a detector for searching for information on the expected anatomical feature in the obtained medical image or for detecting one or more given anatomical features in the obtained medical image and comparing them with the expected anatomical feature information, an evaluation unit for evaluating the result from the detector to generate a consistency measure, which is indicative of the consistency of information associated with the image, with a corresponding medical image, and an output interface for outputting a mismatch indicator if the generated consistency measure is lower than a predetermined consistency value.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing verification of information associated with a medical image to ensure correctness of information associated with a medical image.
