FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment and can be used for vertebral body reconstruction in patients with compression fractures of vertebral bodies, as a result of osteoporosis and traumatic injuries with reduction to 1/3 of vertebral body height. Device for reduction of end plates and recovery of vertebral body height includes a body-handle connected to the tube, a movable rod and a twisting screw with internal thread along the axis. Proximal end of the body-handle has two holes for lock screws, on the distal end of the handle there is a groove for connection with a hollow tube. Distal end of the hollow tube has a slot for connection to a blade cartridge consisting of two blades. Movable rod is coaxially connected to the tube, has a block with chutes for fixing screws, a thread on the proximal end and a conic shape at the distal end.
EFFECT: using the invention enables providing a uniform recovery of vertebral body height, followed by filling with bone cement.
