APPARATUS FOR POSITIONING CONTAINER-TYPE BODY IMPLANTS Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61F2/44 A61F2/46

Abstract RU 2751010 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used in treatment of patients with thoracic and lumbar spinal fractures. The apparatus for positioning cylindrical container-type body implants is comprised of a longitudinally guiding rod with a collet spring, a movable branch and a fixed branch, a clamping sleeve with a rail, a C-shaped bar with a locking bolt, a pistol grip-type handle with a removable longitudinal action anvil attached thereto. To ensure the possibility of dosed movement of the implant fixed by the branches in the transverse direction, the apparatus has a transverse action anvil located on a removable bracket attached to the handle of the apparatus by introducing a T-shaped protrusion at the proximal end of the bracket into a T-shaped groove in the end part of the handle, fixing with a closing rectangular sleeve and a locking bolt.

EFFECT: use of the invention allows to provide a possibility of precise dosed linear and angular movement of a body implant in an interbody defect in any required direction, regardless of the surgical access plane; allows to use any cylindrical body implants of a corresponding diameter, regardless of the geometric configuration of the walls thereof; provides quick and safe disconnection of the implant after positioning in the interbody defect in the immediate vicinity of the dural sac by means of simple manipulation; provides a good view of the operating field in a deep wound during surgery; eliminates the need for any additional expendable materials.
