FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing olefins, which is carried out in the presence of a composition with antistatic action. Described is a method of producing polyolefins by polymerisation of 1-olefin having 2 to 12 carbon atoms, in presence of 1 to 5000 ppm by weight, in terms of total weight of obtained polyolefin composition with antistatic action. Antistatic composition contains 3–30 wt % of a compound of formula R-OH, where R is hydrogen, a linear or branched saturated alkyl group, having 1 to 15 carbon atoms and 70–97 wt % polyester, having one or more terminal hydroxyl groups and viscosity at 40 °C in range of 30 to 2000 mm2/s (DIN 51562). Method is carried out at a polymerisation plant containing one or more liquid-phase and/or gas-phase polymerisation reactors.

EFFECT: technical result is creation of additives which reduce static charges, which with high efficiency counteracting fouling of reactor walls and formation of polymer agglomerates in polymerisation reactor or in equipment downstream.
