FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: panel is characterised by at least one of parameters: value of attenuation class of ceiling panel sound (CAC) of at least 25, coefficient of noise reduction (NRC) of at least of 0.25 and sound transfer class (STC) of at least 25. The panel is formed from water suspension containing from 15 to 50 wt % of inorganic fibre, from 1 to 30 wt % of starch, water and a renewable component. After removal of water the quantity of the renewable component makes from 0.5 to 60 wt % based on the weight of the dry panel. The renewable component is selected from the group made of rice husks, buckwheat husks, nut shells, cereal stalks, hemp, wood chips, etc. of plant materials. Particles of the renewable component have size of preferably 0.059-0.312 inches (0.665-8 mm). To manufacture a panel, water suspension is prepared from the renewable component, inorganic fibre, starch and water, a base mat is formed, water is removed, and finishing is made.
