SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing and can be used for clamping a workpiece. Device (10A) comprises clamping unit (14), drive unit (12) connected to clamping unit (14), rotary clamping lever (17) installed on rotary shaft (82) and rigidly attached to it, wherein shaft (82) with rotary clamping lever (17) is rotatable by action of drive unit (12) through lever mechanism (16) arranged in clamping unit (14), control unit and unit (18) for determining the position of lever (17), which includes cam (98), arranged on pivoting shaft (82) and having surface (100) of predetermined shape, and sensor (102) for determining the position of cam surface (100) moving in accordance with rotation of rotary shaft (82). Said sensor (102) is connected to control unit.
EFFECT: use of the invention increases reliability of clamping of part during its processing due to higher accuracy of detecting part clamping state.
