SUBSTANCE: method of making a composite component of watch or jewelery, comprising: making base (1) in a substrate with a visible surface, designed to remain visible; mirror polishing of each visible surface (11); applying on each polished visible surface (11) of first transparent or colored semi-transparent layer (2) of first material by a dry method, or physical deposition from vapor phase, or by chemical deposition from vapor phase, or by atomic layered deposition, or by varnishing or varnishing with nitrocellulose lacquer; attaching decorative element (3) to outer surface (21) of first layer (2); applying, on first layer (2) and on each decorative element (3) of second layer (4) of transparent finishing material by a dry method, or physical deposition from vapor phase, or by chemical deposition from vapor phase, or by atomic layered deposition, or by varnishing or varnishing with nitrocellulose varnish.
