SUBSTANCE: method of making a watch component or a jewellery with a structured finish, comprising: making ceramic base (1); performing mirror polishing; laser and/or mechanical processing of surface relief (20); applying on surface relief (20) first layer (2) of first metal decorative finishing material and/or painted decorative finishing material, wherein before or after said first coating application, deep engraving is performed to create first decorative cavity (3), depth of which exceeds thickness of first layer and which passes into base (1) below visible surface (10) and below recesses (22) of surface relief (20); performing laser ablation of first layer (2) in pockets (4), at the bottom of which ceramic material is opened; second layer (5) of second material is applied on all visible surfaces of component.

EFFECT: disclosed is a watch or jewellery article having a ceramic base and a structured finish.
