FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used in endodontic treatment of pulpitis and apical periodontitis. Perform instrumental and drug-induced treatment of root canals with their subsequent gutta-percha obturation by hot condensation method. In single-session therapy, gutta-percha pins are used as a root seal impregnated with metal nanoparticles having antimicrobial action without use of a sealer. In order to impregnate the pins, they are folded into a sterile Petri dish and poured with hydrosol so that all of them are immersed in hydrosol, then the cup with pins is left in the dark at room temperature until complete evaporation of water, further in the patients treatment the pins are taken from the Petri dish by tweezers.
EFFECT: method allows creating the repository of high-active antimicrobial nanoparticles of metals penetrating by concentration gradient into dentinal tubules of dental roots, providing their decontamination.
