FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to material science, particularly to production of polycrystalline borates which can be used as nonlinear optical materials. Method of producing low-temperature modification of lithium bromate and cadmium borate α-LcCdBO3 by thermal treatment of the initial mixture Li2CO3, CdO and H3BO3 consists in the fact that the mixture additionally contains MnO at the following ratio of components, mol. %: Li2CO3 - 20.0; CdO - 39.6; H3BO3 - 40.0; MnO - 0.40, wherein the obtained mixture is heat treated at temperature of 350 °C, then 500 °C and 650 °C for 10, 40 and 50 hours respectively. Manganese oxide impurities additive is added to stabilization of hexagonal modification of LiCdBO3 crystal structure.
EFFECT: as a result one-phase target product of double borate is obtained α-LcCdBO3 at lower power inputs and process duration.
