FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry. Photoluminescent material based on complex borate doped with terbium relates to the spatial group of P-1 triclinic crystals, has composition Li3Ba4Sc3B8O22:0.1Tb3+, lattice parameters a = 5.2231 Å, b = 8.5640 Å, c = 11.4209 Å, α = 73.362°, β = 78.566°, γ = 87.037° and emits light in range of 380 to 620 nm. Mixture of components corresponding to formula composition is prepared Li3Ba4Sc3Tb0.1B8O22, containing Li2CO3, BaCO3, H3BO3, Sc2O3, Tb4O7. Obtained mixture is held at temperature of 600–650 °C for a day. Annealed product is grinded and reheated to 850–870 °C.
EFFECT: expanded range of photoluminescent materials based on complex borates.
