FIELD: mineral processing.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to mineral processing, in particular, to flotation methods of dressing, and can be used in potassium ore processing using reagent-depressor based on carbamide-formaldehyde resin. Method of dressing potassium ores using a depressor based on modified carbamide-formaldehyde resin as a floatation agent involves treating sylvin flotation feed with depressor and collector reagents, potassium chloride flotation. Reagent-depressor based on modified carbamide-formaldehyde resin is a product of reaction of carbamide, formaldehyde, ammonia and ethylenediamine or imidazolidine, which are taken at weight ratios 1 : (1.00–3.00) : (0.005–0.30) : (0.005:0.48) or 1 : (0.95–2.975) : (0.005–0.30) : (0.006:0.48) respectively.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of floatation of potassium ores, higher floatability of useful mineral in presence of clay-carbonate sludges, improved sanitary norms of reagent-depressor usage.
