SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to infectious diseases. To detect tuberculosis in the patients with HIV infection, the presence or absence of: weakness, sputum cough, surface or mycosis of mucous membranes, increased liver size, increased peripheral lymph nodes. Declared formulas are used to determine the probability of tuberculosis in a patient with HIV infection. If probability exceeds 50 % of the HIV-infected patient, it is necessary to examine by instrumental and laboratory methods to exclude tuberculosis, as tuberculosis is probable. If the probability is less than 50 %, follow-up care is continued.
EFFECT: method provides reliable, informative and accurate detection of tuberculosis in HIV-infected patients on a limited number of clinical manifestations having high sensitivity and specificity.
