FIELD: medical science.

SUBSTANCE: present invention refers to medicine, namely to phthisiology. It can be used to determine a probability of changing the chemotherapy regimen in newly diagnosed patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. Method is implemented by X-ray examination of the lungs by means of X-ray imaging and linear tomography, or computed tomography. Besides, taking into account presence or absence of comorbidities: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic viral hepatitis C, chronic viral hepatitis B. Said parameters are assigned numerical values and probability of mode change is determined by presented formula. If the derived value is more than 0.5, a high probability of changing the chemotherapy regimen is stated.

EFFECT: method is accessible, enables the effective prediction of the probability of changing the chemotherapy regimen in the newly diagnosed patients suffering pulmonary tuberculosis.
