FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave vacuum devices, in particular, to electron guns in traveling-wave tubes of O-type with high control voltage. In O-type microwave device electron gun with high control voltage, which contains cathode, control electrode, anode and their supporting elements, insulators in the form of cylindrical rings with coaxial circular ledges on end surfaces are installed for electric insulation between electrodes. Insulators and supporting elements of electrodes are arranged in series in radial direction. In the method for manufacturing and assembling an electron gun of an O-type microwave device with high control voltage, in which by means of supporting elements a cathode, a control electrode and an anode is installed, insulators in the form of cylindrical rings with coaxial circular ledges on end surfaces are installed for electric insulation between electrodes. Insulators and supporting elements of electrodes are assembled in series in radial direction using telescopic junctions.

EFFECT: simplified design, increased simplicity and accuracy of electron gun assembly, increased reliability and durability.
