FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to devices for generation of wideband chaotic microwave oscillations of medium and low power levels and may be used in different radio location systems, counterradio measures, communication systems based on chaotic signals, industrial plants, and also in medical devices. The invention substance consists in the following: microwave generator contains two sources of electrons in the form of two hot cathodes with common accelerating anode and electrodynamic system with two power outputs, at that hot cathodes are located on the opposite sides of accelerating anode with possibility of counter-current electron flows creation. Accelerating anode is made in the form of membrane, and enumerated generator elements are located with the possibility of virtual cathodes formation in the space between accelerating anodes and hot cathodes.
EFFECT: creates miniature low-voltage source of controlled wideband noise-like oscillations of low power level of centimeter and millimeter wave length band.
