FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the technology of optical synchronous digital hierarchy. In compliance with this invention, method for automatic determination of inter-node connection topology includes the following stages: on the node, a message is generated, which contains node communication identification information used to identify the communication stream configured for the security group; sending a message containing communication identification information through a shared backup ring of the transoceanic multiplex section; and, at least, on one of other nodes, topology of intersection of inter-node links is determined according to message containing communication identification information. Inserting a data transmission channel for periodically sending a broadcast message and interacting with a configuration module and real-time protection protocol module, when ring failure occurs, it is guaranteed that correct protection switching of link level can be performed.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of number of random errors of configurations.
