FIELD: veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary toxicology and sanitation, namely to combined determination of residual amounts of neonicotinoids in a subspecies of bees during poisoning using high-performance liquid chromatography. Method for determining neonicotinoid pesticides in a subspecies of bees using high-performance liquid chromatography involves extraction of dead bees, extraction with distilled water and acetonitrile, grinding, adding magnesium sulphate and sodium acetate while stirring, centrifuging at 10,000 rpm for 15 minutes, collecting supernatant with addition of sorbent (PSA or Amberlite XAD-2), shaking, filtration, evaporation of solvent in nitrogen flow at temperature 40 °C, dissolving obtained precipitate in methanol-water mixture at ratio of 10:90, passing mixture through 0.2 mcm syringe packed nozzle into an analytical vial, adding the dissolved precipitate to the chromatograph and processing the analysis results, before addition of magnesium sulphate and sodium acetate to the mixture, additionally adding hexane, and the eluent used is a mixture of acetonitrile-water in ratio of 80:20 respectively with 0.2 % formic acid.

EFFECT: high sensitivity, selectivity and shorter analysis time.
