FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: method of determining sensitivity of a microphone involves connecting an acoustic unit and an acoustic connector. Connector is made hollow. Inside the cavity there is a reference microphone. In cavity of connector there is an inlet for providing acoustic connection between input of acoustic unit, which sensitivity is to be determined, and a connector. Sensitivity of the acoustic unit is defined as the ratio between the output voltage of the acoustic unit and said reference sound pressure, generated in said cavity by sound source and measured by acoustic connector standard microphone, multiplied by frequency-dependent transfer function, where transfer function is a function of input impedance Zin in said inlet of acoustic connector and transmission impedance Ztrans between inlet of acoustic connector and position, in which said reference sound pressure is measured using a reference microphone.
EFFECT: technical result is performance of measurements in a very wide frequency range without the need to measure in a non-sound field.
