FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: gear wheel consists of a body in the form of a disk with a hub and of a gear rim with teeth. The outer disk diameter is equal to the outside diameter of the gear rim. The gear rim is made as a profiled ring from a band with its width being equal to the teeth width. The outer profile of the ring matches the profile of the gear rim. One end face of the ring is fixed to the disk end. A cylindrical ring is fixed on the inner surface of the profiled ring and the disk end, its outer diameter is equal to the inner diameter of the profiled ring and its width is equal to the width of this ring.

EFFECT: lower costs of gear wheel production.
