FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly to parts of machines and can be used for production of whatever gear wheels. Proposed process comprises separate production of wheel body and rim to be assembled together. Said body is made as a cylindrical disc with width in circumference equal to rim width. Rim shaped surface is produced by, for example, contour rolling from strip in width equal to that of said rim and I length equal to that of rim profile in circumference of gear wheel being made. Now, ring is made with profile identical to that of the rim of gear wheel and ID equal to wheel body OD. Produced ring is secured to the body by point welding at appropriate points. Cavities composed by ring shaped surfaces and body are filled with fused material by, for example, plastic material and the melt is held unless its solidification. First, in making the body, its outer radius is reduced by depth magnitude of the strip whereof rim surface is made.
EFFECT: lower costs, simplified production.
