FIELD: tool production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tool production, namely, to production of high-precision control and measuring instrument from carbon and alloyed steels, and can be used in production of, for example, smooth and threaded gauges, plugs, staples, templates, as well as calipers, micrometers, etc. to increase operational wear resistance. Preliminary mechanical, thermal and final machining of working surfaces of control instrument from carbon and alloyed steels is performed. At that final machining of working surfaces is performed with purity of at least Ra 0.8, then fluorine-containing coating is applied in form of solution 0.5–10 % of perfluoropolyether acid 6MFK-180 in coolant 113, or a fluorine-containing coating in form of solution 0.4–1.0 % of perfluoropolyether acid 6MFK-180 in a mixture of coolant 113 and isopropyl alcohol in ratio, wt% 60–65 % and 40–35 %, respectively.
EFFECT: increased wear resistance of the measuring tool by 3-4 times.
