SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, in particular to devices for protection of marine power plants. Result is achieved by the fact that in the method of protecting a network of an autonomous power plant in parallel operation of generator units, as well as in a prototype, by cutting off the generator unit, which switched to the motor operating mode, unlike the prototype, disconnection of the said generator unit is blocked in case the grid load is less than the specified value. At that, to determine the lockout action duration of the said generator unit, total network load is measured, obtained value is compared with the specified load value and in case the condition Psum. < Pback is met, generating signal to disable said generator unit, otherwise locking is not performed and generator unit is disconnected from mains.

EFFECT: technical result is broader functional capabilities of the method by protecting autonomous power plant networks.
