SUBSTANCE: according to the method of automatic unloading of the electric power system with parallel operating GU, if one or several GU fail, the active load of each GU (Pi) is measured, calculate the value of the total active load of the entire EPS (Psum.i), calculate the value of the total permissible active load of the EPS (Psum. add. resp.) for cases of disabling the inoperative or inoperative GU, compare the calculated value Psum.i with the permissible value Psum. add. resp. and at Psum.i > Psum. add. resp. form a signal for the disconnection of selected consumers of electrical energy until the disabling of disabled GU.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability of protection of EPS with parallel generating units (GU) against overloading when one or more GU are out of order.
