FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rope production and is used as a cable for deep exploratory drilling in oil and gas industry and in mining industry as conductors and suspension of equipment when drilling shafts and mines. Steel double twist rope consists of strands with linear contact of wires. Core of rope is made of alternating strands of steel wires and fiber material, and ratio of diameters of steel strands D1 to fibrous strands D2 is D2=(0.66÷0.69)*D1. At the same time strands of fibrous material are impregnated with production-and-preservation lubricant.
EFFECT: increased service life of rope, resistance to dynamic and vibration forces, increased flexibility and anticorrosion protection.
