FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to rope production and is used in mining industry as lifting rope. In order to solve the task and achieve technical result, this invention proposes eight-strand steel rope consisting of central strand 1, around which series successively three layers of strands in one direction, coinciding with direction of wires of central strand wires, wherein first layer, diameter D1, consists of six strands 2 of linear touch, direction of wire unwinding which coincides with direction of strand spinning into first layer, second layer, diameter D2, consists of eight strands 3 of linear contact, but direction of wire strand spinning is opposite to direction of strand spinning in second layer of rope; third layer, diameter D3, consists of eight three-layer strands 4 of strip contact with filling wires, the structure of which is determined by formula (1+n; n+2n+2n), where n is number of wires in layer, pieces; at that, the wire lay direction in the strand, as in the first layer, coincides with the strand spinning direction into the layer; second and third rope layers are coated with polymer material 5; ratio of rope layers makes D3:D2:D1=(3.85÷4.05):(1.95÷2.15):1. Cross-section of steel eight-strand steel rope 8×K37(1+6;6+12+12)+8×7(1+6)+6×7(1+6)+1×7(1+6).
EFFECT: obtaining a wear-resistant cable having high flexibility, smaller contact stresses and high strength.
