FIELD: glass.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and device for bending window glass, as well as to use thereof. During industrial production of window glass various methods of bending are used, which have already been repeatedly reflected in patent literature. Method of bending window glass with following steps: providing glass heated to bending temperature, fixing glass on contact surface of first bending matrix, pressing glass between first bending matrix and pressure frame, note here that said contact surface features outer surface section suitable for edge bending in edge area of glass. Pressure frame has a pressing surface that is complementary to the outer surface of the first bending matrix, transporting the glass on the pressure frame to the second bending matrix. During transportation, surface pre-bending is performed in the inner region of glass surrounded by the edge area under action of gravity, pressing the glass between the second bending matrix and the pressure frame, wherein the second bending matrix has a contact surface with an outer surface portion suitable for the edge end bending in the edge region of the glass, note here that pressing surface of pressure frame is complementary to outer surface of second bending matrix to fix glass on contact surface of second bending matrix. At that, surface preliminary bending in inner area of glass, transportation of glass on the quenching frame to a cooling device for thermal quenching of glass, note here that during transportation surface bending is performed in inner area of glass under action of gravity force.

EFFECT: technical result consists in production by means of the proposed method of glass without optical defects and creation of compact installations for bending of window glass, wherein window glass should be made with relatively short duration of cycles and with reduced production costs.
