FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of an internal combustion engine equipped with a variable compression ratio mechanism. Invention comprises: variable compression ratio mechanism (10) for varying engine compression ratio according to control shaft (14) angular position; drive motor (20) which drives rotation shaft (23); and multi-link mechanism (21) for mechanical connection of control shaft (14) and rotation shaft (23). Multi-link mechanism (21) has reduction coefficient (attenuation factor), which is ratio of rotation value of shaft (23) of rotation and value of rotation of control shaft (14), and which varies according to angular position of control shaft (14). Permitted pressure in cylinder is defined, which is permissible limit pressure in combustion chamber of internal combustion engine.
EFFECT: permitted pressure in cylinder at engine compression ratio when reduction coefficient becomes low is set below cylinder pressure at engine compression ratio when reduction coefficient becomes high.
