FIELD: valves.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to controlling the opening of a valve for a bypass valve, which is provided for a turbocharger. When bypass valve (7) is forcibly closed completely to control the determination during start-up, driving force of electric actuator (20) is initially set to a large first level, and when predetermined position (L1) is reached immediately before mounting, the driving force decreases to the second level. As a result, valve body (7a) shrinks smoothly. When the specified time (TM1) passes, the drive force increases to the third level. Consequently, electric actuator (20) presses valve body (7a) onto mounting surface (34a), while at the same time displacing spring element (37).
EFFECT: this results in reliable tightness and suppresses the abnormal noise of a diverter valve caused by the insertion of a spring element.
