FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine and can be used for preparing a solid vaccine composition for dissolution in an aqueous liquid diluent by forming carbon dioxide in situ. That is ensured by mixing an effective amount of a foam control agent with an anhydrous antigenic component and an effervescent agent. Foam control agent contains an effective amount of sugar alcohol (15–40 wt. %) of the solid vaccine composition. Invention also discloses stable solid vaccine compositions and a method of reducing foam formation with a solid vaccine composition.
EFFECT: group of inventions allows to reduce loss of antigenic properties of composition due to reduced foaming during dissolution of such composition by introduction of sugar alcohol in its composition.
