SUBSTANCE: when preparing the tampon, an absorbent structure consisting of an absorbent material can be formed into a workpiece of the tampon. In various embodiments, the extraction element can be attached to the absorbent structure either before the absorbent structure is formed into the swab blank or thereafter. Tampon blank can then be subjected to a compression step which can lead to the production of the tampon main part.

EFFECT: main part and obtained tampon can have at least one linear channel and at least one nonlinear channel.
