FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas industry. Method of determining temperature distribution in an oil well producing super-viscous oil, comprising placing a fiber-optic cable in a production string, determining temperature along the wellbore, plotting a graph of temperature versus depth of well, at overheating and shutdowns in the production well pump operation, it is stopped for 2–6 days idle time. Pumping of steam into the injection well is limited by not less than 50 % of the average steam flow rate during the liquid withdrawal limitation period. After idle time, a static thermogram of temperature distribution along the production well shaft is determined. Thermogram data are used to control injection of steam into injection well by reducing or increasing its injection by 20–50 % of average steam flow rate. Periodically, operations for determination of static thermogram of temperature distribution along production well shaft and control of steam injection to injection well are repeated.
EFFECT: high efficiency and reliability of determining temperature distribution in an oil well producing super viscous oil with simultaneous reduction of operating costs for pumping steam into the formation for a period of production well shutdown.
