FIELD: medicine; pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: first object is the use of a composition comprising N-carbamoylmethyl-4-phenyl-2-pyrrolidone (fonturacetam) and at least one additional compound selected from a group, including 4-phenylpyrrolidone-2, 2-(2-oxo-4-phenylpyrrolidin-1-yl)acetic acid, ethyl-2-(2-oxo-4-phenylpyrrolidin-1-yl)acetate, optical isomers thereof and pharmaceutically acceptable salts, for treating and/or preventing obesity or overweight. Second object is using a pharmaceutical composition, a drug or a ready dosage form containing the composition in a therapeutically effective amount.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of stability (storage time) of composition, high rate of dissolution, reduced hygroscopicity of composition compared to prototype; expanding the range of products possessing anorexigenic activity for treating and preventing obesity or overweight; high activity of the disclosed composition compared to the prototype.
