FIELD: chemistry; construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing (meth)acrylic hydrogel, comprising steps of: providing a multicomponent composition containing the following components: a) at least one water-soluble (meth)acrylic compound, b) at least one free-radical polymerisation initiator, c) at least one benzoate, d) optionally at least one catalyst for formation of free radicals, wherein content of said at least one water-soluble (meth)acrylic compound ranges from 60.0 to 99.0 wt % with respect to the total weight of the multicomponent composition, excluding the amount of water, which can be present. Mixing the components present in the multicomponent composition with water so that in the mixture thus obtained, the weight ratio of the total amount of said at least one water-soluble (meth)acrylic compound to the amount of water ranges from 0.1:1 to 5:1. Providing formation of obtained mixture of (meth)acrylic hydrogel. Invention also relates to a hydrogel obtained using said method, and a method for sealing cracks, voids, defects and cavities in building structures.

EFFECT: technical result is providing a multicomponent hydrogel composition, which can be used for sealing and filling of cracks, cavities, defects and cavities in steel-concrete structures without high risk of corrosion.
