FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for direct potentiometric determination of concentration of potassium ions in aqueous solutions and can be used for analysis of natural and waste water, biological fluids. Ion-selective material for determining potassium ions contains molybdenum dioxide and carbon, with the following ratio of components, wt%: molybdenum dioxide MoO2 83–66; carbon 7–34. Material structure is a carbon matrix in which particles of molybdenum MoO2 with size of 10–12 nm are distributed.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain an ion-selective material having the possibility of determining concentration of K+ in aqueous solutions in a wide range of concentrations of the determined ion and a high angular coefficient of the electrode function.
