FIELD: cosmetic industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for forming α-gel used in composition of preparation for external application on skin, including: (A) from 25 to 30 wt % of one or more higher aliphatic alcohols, containing 16 to 22 carbon atoms, and/or higher fatty acids containing 16 to 22 carbon atoms, (B) from 55 to 66 wt % polyoxyethylene ether sterol, represented by following formula (I): where in formula (I) R is a cholesterol or phytosterol residue, and n is integer from 5 to 20, and (C) from 9 to 15 wt % of polyoxyethylene distearate, and formed by adding water. Invention also relates to a composition of a preparation for external application on skin and a composition for stabilizing the preparation for external application.
EFFECT: composition has high stability without causing color changes and crystal precipitation over time.
