SYSTEM, RECORDER AND SURFACE ELECTROMYOGRAPHY METHOD Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B5/492 A61B5/08

Abstract RU 2732344 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an electromyography system, a measurement method and an electromyogram recorder. System comprises first and second electrodes for contact with skin of a subject, grounded reference electrode, a recorder for recording the electromyogram and an output unit for indicating the quality of skin contact with the electrode. First electrode comprises first and second electrode regions isolated from each other. Grounded reference electrode is configured to limit noise of in-phase signals and to limit effects of in-phase signals on the first and second electrodes. Recorder is configured to measure noise between first and second electrode regions to determine quality of skin contact with first electrode. Signals from the first and second electrode regions of the first electrode are obtained. Noise is measured between the first and second electrode regions to determine quality of skin contact with the first electrode. An electromyography signal is recorded between the first and second electrodes.

EFFECT: easier control of the electromyography system by analyzing noise between the electrode regions to determine the quality of skin contact with the electrode and possibility of excluding low-quality contact between electrode and skin so that even an untrained subject could perform reliable measurements.
