FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nonferrous metallurgy, particularly, to production of aluminium-based foundry alloys and can be used for production of aluminium-titanium-zirconium alloy used for modification of aluminium alloys. Proposed process comprises smelting of binary alloys aluminium-titanium and aluminium-zirconium at titanium-to-zirconium weight ratio of 0.15-1.5, heating the melt to temperature some 160-300°C higher than liquidus temperature, mixing the melt, applying low-frequency oscillations for at least 1 minute for uniform distribution of aluminides and melt crystallisation at the rate of 103-104 deg/s.
EFFECT: increased modification capacity owing to formation of complex metastable aluminides.
