SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to medical prophylaxis, psychodiagnostics and psychotherapy, therapeutic exercises, use of psychotherapeutic techniques based on body-oriented therapy (BOT) for health improvement of students, students during academic year, as well as in sanatorium and resort conditions. First, the emotional state of the student is diagnosed by testing. Generalized criterion (GC) of mental health reflecting the level of emotional well-being is calculated by original formula. Depending on the derived GC value, a certain set of exercises aimed at improving the emotional state is carried out. If there is no positive dynamics in the emotional state, the occupations are repeated with the background of taking the drug-adaptogen until positive dynamics appear.

EFFECT: method prolongs a period without exacerbations of chronic and infectious diseases in students during the academic period due to individualization and differentiated approach to health improvement of student's taking into account features of objectively established emotional status of each student.
