FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to methods of forming coatings on metal materials by electrospark alloying. Before the hardening process is carried out, a doping coating in form of a paste or an ink is applied with a layer with thickness of not more than 2 mm. Hardening is carried out by strengthening electrode in form of roller by running it along alloying coating with reciprocating motion with amplitude, which ensures obtaining of uniform doped layer.
EFFECT: higher quality of coating due to formation of uniform coating of required composition and complex of physical and mechanical characteristics.
