FIELD: plasma technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plasma engineering, namely to plasma hollow cathode-compensators operating on gaseous working bodies. Plasma hollow compensator cathode comprises housing 1, ignition electrode 2, emission assembly 3 with gas supply tube 4 and ceramic cap 5 arranged coaxially between housing 1 and ignition electrode 2, the cap by its side surface 6 is conjugated with ignition electrode by thread 7, and with housing by means of adhesive joint filling a row of through holes 8 in housing 1 and grooves 9 on outer side surface 6 of ceramic cap, thread on ignition electrode is made on at least two sections 7a and 7b, between which there are resilient skirts 10 and 11 arranged relative to each other in the "dovetail" pattern, end surface of conjugation 12 of the ceramic cap is made at an angle close to the inclination angle of the skirt mating with it, between the housing and the ignition electrode in alignment therewith an additional pressing ceramic ring 13 is placed, the end surface of interface 14 of which is made at an angle close to the inclination angle of the other skirt mating with it, wherein inner surface of pressing ceramic ring is conjugated with housing by thread 15, and outer surface is conjugated with ignition electrode by means of adhesive connection.
EFFECT: increased service life of cathode-compensator and reliability of its operation at multiple sign-changing thermal effects during operation.
