SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a boss for a container for retaining fluid medium and to a method for installation of a reservoir for holding fluid medium by means of a boss. Pressure vessel is particularly suitable for holding fluid medium. Pressure vessel support system includes: a vessel holder; pressure vessel (10) supported on the vessel holder; boss (12) attached to vessel (10) under pressure and having first hole (26) made in it; bearing (18) located at least partially inside first opening (26) and having second opening (56) extending therethrough; and fastening element (14) configured to be attached to the vessel holder. Section of fastening element (14) continues through second hole (56) and can slide inside first and second holes substantially along longitudinal axis of vessel (10) under pressure. Also disclosed is method of supporting pressure vessel (10) on vessel holder.
EFFECT: creation of system and method of pressure vessel support, providing reliable attachment of vessel under pressure from axial and rotary movement, while allowing the pressure vessels mounting structures to take a degree of displacement without excessive load on the neck of the pressure vessel.
