FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a gas mixture in a gas tank (B) having a plurality of components. At least one first component is measured by a volumetric method, and said first component from container (V1, V2, V3, VG1, VG2) for storage of first component is isolated in at least one measurement volume (P1, P2, P3, P4) from plurality of measurement volumes and transferred from at least one measuring volume (P1, P2, P3, P4) into gas tank. At least one second component is gravimetrically measured, wherein at least one second component is transferred from container (V1, V2, V3, VG1, VG2) for storage of at least one second component in gas container (B), and gas tank (B) is weighed using weights (W) to determine content of at least one second component. Invention also relates to an apparatus for implementing the disclosed method.
EFFECT: as a result, the required gas mixture can be obtained with the required accuracy without the need to use preliminarily prepared mixtures.
