FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to proctology. Rectal wall defect is closed at its damage during the radical prostatectomy in the transverse direction by the two-row suture. From the anterior abdominal wall, a three-layer graft is prepared, consisting of a parietal peritoneum, a preperitoneal tissue and transverse fascia 1 cm larger than the defect, after which the graft abdominal side covers the rectal wall defect seam area and fixed to it with single sutures.
EFFECT: method considerably reduces the risk of inconsistency of a suture of rectal wall defect and associated severe complications, eliminates the need for colostomy and cystostomy, improving quality of life of patients.
